Steve is an insurance and litigation lawyer, who specialises in total and permanent disablement claims. He has over 8 years of experience in insurance law, and has previously worked as a plaintiff personal injury lawyer litigating superannuation insurance, transport accident and work related claims.

He is currently employed as legal counsel with the UniSuper superannuation fund, where he handles most of the fund’s external complaints and litigated claims. In addition, Steve is a committee member of the fund’s Insurance Management Committee, a delegate committee of UniSuper whose function it is to approve all inbuilt and external insurance claims.

Benjamin Cran is an experienced litigator and dispute resolution specialist across all areas of insurance. Benjamin worked in various law firms for 18 years before moving in-house. Benjamin has worked in legal leadership roles at CBA, AMP and TAL and also undertaken a stint in risk management at AMP. Benjamin currently leads the Litigation and External Dispute Resolution team at TAL, supervising a team of 16 lawyers and dispute resolution specialists providing advice, litigation support, and management of EDR complaints for the TAL Group
