Eoin Burke, Head of Financial Crimes, Link Group

Eoin has 20 years’ experience in Financial Crimes and Data Analytics, and has worked across APAC and EMEA in a number of Senior Leadership roles. 

Eoin joined Link Group in 2012 and is currently the Head of Financial Crimes responsible for protecting the data and monetary assets of over 30 million individuals. His current remit spans across Fraud Prevention, AML/CTF Reporting, Training & Awareness, Suspicious Matter Reporting, Regulator & Law Enforcement engagement. Eoin is responsible for the strategy, leadership and continuous improvement of the Financial Crimes department, ensuring the people, processes and technology are all operating effectively to mitigate the risk of financial crime impacting the wider ecosystem. Eoin developed an internal Fraud Analytics start-up within Link Group called “ALERT” which has gone on to protect over 9M superannuation members daily and prevent millions of dollars of unauthorised transactions.

Sonia Hunyadi, Government Relations and Policy Advisor, AIST

Sonia joined AIST in January 2022 as a Government Relations and Policy Advisor.

With extensive experience in stakeholder management, Sonia has worked across the public sector in politically sensitive environments including the Australian Taxation Office, Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Department of Finance.

Sonia has a Bachelor of Laws / Arts from Deakin University, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Skills and Ethics from Monash University. Sonia is working with AIST to deliver quality advocacy outcomes for super fund members and assisting with the AIST Governance Code.
