Mariam Mohammed, Co-Founder, MoneyGirl

Mariam is an entrepreneur, speaker, and facilitator. In 2016, Mariam was elected Women’s Officer of the Sydney University Postgraduate Association (SUPRA). In 2017, she became the President of SUPRA – leading the team that delivered a 600% increase in the organisation’s community engagement. By 2019, she had co-founded MoneyGirl to empower and inspire women to become financially independent. Now, Mariam teaches advocates and changemakers how to create and leverage a strong personal brand to amplify their impact. She is among the Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence list, 40 under 40 Most Influential Asian-Australians, and a 2020 NSW Young Woman of the Year Finalist.


Anand Thomas, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, UniSuper

Anand joined UniSuper in July 2019, as the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer to lead the strategy, product, marketing and digital capabilities.

In a career spanning 20 years in financial services, Anand has worked in Australia and in Asia for organisations such as MLC, NAB, ANZ, OCBC Bank and Citicorp. Anand’s formative years were in customer service, marketing and product. Over the years he has gone to build a proven career in leading and transforming businesses to deliver double digit growth as well as leading capability teams to enable front line businesses to succeed.

Anand has an MBA from the Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai, India.

Ali Moore, Journalist and Broadcaster

Ali Moore has more than 30 years experience as a journalist and broadcaster, working for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Australia's Nine Network, and for the BBC's global news network, based in Singapore. She has covered major news and current affairs events across the region, including as the ABC's China Correspondent in Beijing. Ali is a former Vice-Chancellor's Fellow at the University of Melbourne, producing and presenting the 'This is Not A Drill' series of hypotheticals with Asialink, the ABC and the Wheeler Centre. She is now a freelance broadcaster and journalist, and regular program host on ABC Radio Melbourne.
