Jonathan Shead, Head of Investments, Australia, State Street Global Advisors

Jonathan is Head of Investments, Australia. In this role, he provides an Australian based investment voice for State Street Global Advisors with our Australian clients spanning the breadth of solutions that we offer. He also provides local oversight to the Australian investment team and is a member of Australian entity boards.

Prior to his current role, Jon was Head of Retirement Solutions, Australia and was responsible for leading the development of retirement thinking and investing in Australia.

Jonathan joined State Street Global Advisors, Australia, Limited in August 2000 and was a member of the Global Portfolio Strategy team from 2000 to 2018 covering both equities and currency and serving as the Head of Portfolio Strategists for the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining SSGA, Jonathan worked as a senior asset consultant and as a superannuation actuary at NSP Buck Proprietary Limited.

Jonathan was awarded a Bachelor of Economics degree by Macquarie University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

John Streur, President and Chief Executive Officer, Calvert Research and Management (USA)

John Streur is president and chief executive officer for Calvert Research and Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eaton Vance Management specializing in responsible and sustainable investing across global capital markets. John is also president and a trustee of the Calvert Funds as well as a director of Calvert Impact Capital and member of its Risk Management Committee. He guided the creation of the Calvert Principles for Responsible Investment, the Calvert Research System and the Calvert Indices, and has placed focus on investment research and emphasis on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors integrated with investment decisions. He joined Calvert Research and Management in 2016.

David Haynes, Senior Policy Manager, AIST

As AIST’s Senior Policy Manager, David has spent the last 10 years working closely with Parliament, Government, Treasury, all regulators and other key stakeholders in developing and implementing all aspects of superannuation policy, including all regulatory changes and major projects such as the Financial Services Royal Commission, default fund selection, and the Insurance in Super Code

David has 30 years’ experience in the industry including time as the CEO of Industry Fund Services and AUSfund, an executive at Members Equity, as an account manager for a major adminstrator, and as a trustee of superannuation funds.

David holds a parallel role as Executive Superannuation Policy Advisor at IQ Group.  He has also been a director of numerous private and public sector board.
