Gray Bouchillon, Head of Industrial Sector, Americas, Nuveen Real Estate

Gray oversees all United States industrial real estate acquisition, disposition, development and operational activity for Nuveen Real Estate. In addition, he is charged with expanding strategic partnerships and the implementation of new investment initiatives within the industrial sector.

Prior to joining Nuveen Real Estate in 2018, Gray served as president and chief investment officer of Evergreen Industrial Properties. Before leading Evergreen, he worked at Colony Industrial as senior vice president as well as Cobalt Capital Partners, which was acquired by Colony in 2014. Over the course of his career, Gray has executed over $7 billion in industrial transactions across more than 30 markets located within the United States and Mexico.

Gray graduated with a B.S. in both Finance and Accounting from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He is a member of Nuveen Real Estate’s Americas Investment Committee and holds a CPA in the state of Texas.


Tim Stringer, Chief Investment Officer, International Property Funds Management

Tim is IPFM’s Chief Investment Officer and is based in IPFM’s Melbourne office. He has over 30 years’ experience in the commercial property industry. He has held senior executive roles in fund management, portfolio management and advisory with Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) Property, AMP Capital and Frontier Advisors.

Tim is responsible for all aspects of the investment function of IPFM including development and execution of investment strategy, oversight of the investment process from research and deal origination through to execution, asset management and portfolio management.

Immediately prior to IPFM, Tim was a principal consultant and Head of Property and Frontier Advisors where he led a team of consultants and researchers. He provided consulting advice to Frontier’s clients and led the development of an international real estate configuration and strategy for a range of institutional investors.

At CFSGAM, Tim served as the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Unlisted Property where he led a division of over 40 investment professionals managing 12 property funds with FUM of over $6 billion. During this time, Tim implemented a restructure of the team and his leadership saw investment performance improved significantly with the proportion of funds outperforming their investment benchmarks increasing from 60% to 100%.

Prior to this, Tim spent 15 years with AMP Capital, initially as a National Valuations Manager for 6 years before taking on the role of Fund Manager of AMP’s flagship unlisted property fund, the Australia Core Property Portfolio, which grew to $5 billion and delivered strong performance. Tim also held the role of Fund Manager for the AMP Global Direct Property Fund.

Jeff Wallens, Education & Training Consultant, AIST

Jeff commenced working with AIST as a Training Consultant in January 2019. He brings 20 years of financial services and superannuation experience to AIST, in roles ranging from customer service, member education, employer account management, and corporate super planning and advice.

Jeff currently holds a Diploma of Financial Planning.

His previous employers include Telstra Super, NAB Financial Planning, AON, Aviva and Health Super.
