Michael Dundon, Chief Executive Officer, VicSuper

Michael was appointed Chief Executive of VicSuper in 2011 and is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Fund.

VicSuper is a steadily growing public offer superannuation fund managing more than $25 billion on behalf of approximately 249,000 members and 25,000 employers.

He works closely with the Executive Team and the Board to develop and implement plans and strategies that ensure the Fund continues to meet the needs of members and employers.

Michael has extensive experience in the banking, insurance and utilities industries and previously held the position of CEO at ESSSuper and General Manager Finance at TRUenergy Australia Ltd.

Michael is a member of the National Board of Amnesty International Australia and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Michael holds a degree in economics from the University of Adelaide, is a Chartered Accountant and was awarded FEAL’s Fund Executive of the Year award in 2016.

Naomi Edwards, Trustee Director, Independent Chair, Tasplan

Naomi Edwards is a highly regarded professional director. She has chaired listed ASX companies, industry super funds, and not-for-profits. An actuary by training, with an executive background in the financial services industry, her perspective in interpreting complex financial interactions and seeing the long term implications is unique. Naomi’s financial analysis and accounting skills are complemented by a strong commercial focus. She has a background in listed M&A activity. Naomi has a first class honours degree in mathematics from the University of Canterbury and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (London) as well as a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institutes of Actuaries.

Naomi has had significant involvement in merger activity within both the retail and the profit to member sectors, including her recent roles with Tasplan’s two completed mergers and its current merger plans.

Paul Watson, Group Executive, Member Experience, Hostplus

As Group Executive, Member Experience, Paul principally provides key-executive strategic leadership, development and management of Hostplus' Member Experience division, responsible for the achievement of high-quality member-centric experiences and outcomes for Hostplus' members, employers and stakeholders. His portfolio encompasses Marketing/Brand, Strategic Partnerships, Business Growth, Key Client Relationships, Product, Insurance and Retirement Solutions & Advice.

With over 28 years’ experience in superannuation and the financial services industry, across a range of business disciplines, Paul has an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of successful organisations. He has held C-suite and senior executive roles in both the public and private sectors, including chief executive, executive director and group executive positions is several of Australia’s best known and performed superannuation and pension funds.

Prior to that he enjoyed a 13-year career in the Australian Public Service which included a number of senior officer roles in central agencies where he contributed to the development and delivery of retirement income policies, initiatives, multi-agency programs and national information and education campaigns.

Paul is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Leadership Development Program and holds qualifications in financial planning, management and administration.


Sean Hill, Partner, PwC

Sean is a senior partner with over 30 years experience in financial services.

His roles have included the client lead partner as assurance provider and advisor to Australia’s largest superannuation funds including 10 of the top 20 funds.

Over the years Sean has been involved in various transformation projects, including risk management framework reviews, changes to operating models and remediation programs.

His work has included numerous APRA prudential standard reviews and other regulatory reviews, including enforceable undertakings with APRA and ASIC.

He is a Registered Company Auditor and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
