Kim Bowater, Director of Consulting, Frontier

Kim Bowater is the Director of Consulting at Frontier, having joined Frontier in 2002. Kim is responsible for overseeing the delivery of advice and research through our consulting team. She is a member of Frontier's Investment Committee and Chair of our Client Portfolio Review Committee. She is also the lead consultant for several large superannuation funds. Kim has 24 years of industry experience having previously been employed at Deloitte and Towers Perrin. Kim is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with First Class Honours in Mathematical Statistics. Kim is a member of the CFA Institute.

 


Sebastian Mullins, Fund Manager, Multi-Asset, Schroders

Sebastian is a senior portfolio manager within the Australian Multi-Asset team. He is a co-portfolio manager of the Schroder Global Total Return fund and Real Return Fund strategies. Sebastian is a member of several local strategy research groups including equities, credit, currency and relative value. In addition, Sebastian is a member of the global SIGMA equity risk premium group contributing to the global multi-asset research platform. Sebastian has over 13 years’ experience in portfolio management and has been managing multi-asset portfolios for over 10 years; prior to joining Schroders in February 2019, he worked for Nikko Asset Management in both Singapore and Sydney, as well as Challenger Limited in in Sydney. Sebastian holds a Master in Applied Finance (Distinction) from Macquarie University in Australia as well as Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Bath in the UK.

Biff Ourso, Senior Managing Director, Nuveen Real Assets, Nuveen (US)

Biff is responsible for leading and developing the strategic direction and investment execution of Nuveen Real Assets’ business across the agriculture, timberland, infrastructure and impact sectors, which encompasses more than US$20 billion in AUM. He is also a member of Nuveen’s management committee, Global Investment Committee and the investment committees for Nuveen’s investment specialists in farmland, timberland, and agribusiness and their investment funds. He has also served as a Board Director of a number of affiliated and unaffiliated investment funds and companies in the real asset space.

In prior roles at the firm, Biff served as the portfolio manager for Nuveen’s farmland and timberland portfolios and supported the development of TIAA’s agricultural investment platform since its inception in 2007, helping to grow the portfolio from inception to more than US$8 billion.

Biff graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Davidson College where he was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon and International Economics Honor Society. He holds the CFA® designation.


Leanne Taylor, Head of Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction, Cbus

Leanne is Head of Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction for Cbus Superannuation Fund and joined in January 2018.  Leanne has key responsibility for the formulation of investment and macroeconomic strategy and research that informs the asset allocation and total portfolio decisions for Cbus’ investment options.  Prior to this Leanne gained a breadth of experience across funds management and investment banking.  She began her career at the Reserve Bank of Australia. Leanne holds a Masters of Economics (Macroeconomics, Finance & Statistics) from The Australian National University, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investments and a Bachelor of Economics (Honors) from The University of Tasmania.
