Joey Alcock, Principal Consultant, Chair of Responsible Investment Group, Frontier

Joey re-joined Frontier as a Principal Consultant in 2018 and serves as Chair of the Responsible Investment Group. Previously, he spent several years working in the UK with bfinance, leading equity fund manager searches for a range of institutional asset owners. In Joey’s original stint at Frontier, he worked for more than 10 years in a range of functions including client consulting, private equity research and line management, amongst other responsibilities. Prior to this, Joey was employed with TWUSUPER as part of the inaugural Super Cadets program (now SuperGrads), an initiative of the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds (CMSF) and related industry bodies.


Jade Huang, ESG Portfolio Manager, Head of Quantitative, Calvert Research and Management (US)

Jade Huang is a vice president and director of applied responsible investment solutions for Calvert Research and Management, which specializes in responsible and sustainable investing across global capital markets. She is responsible for managing the suite of Calvert Responsible Indices, including the index construction processes, as well as developing new investment products at Calvert. She joined Calvert Research and Management in 2016.

Jade began her career in the investment management industry in 2005. Before joining Calvert Research and Management, she was a portfolio manager with Calvert Investments. Previously, she was an investment analyst at Microvest, an asset management firm specializing in impact investing, and led the certification department at Fair Trade USA.

Jade earned a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.A. in international finance and economics from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).


Jillian Reid, Senior Sustainable Investment Specialist, Mercer

Jillian has more than 20 years’ experience across investment consulting and funds management, specialising in sustainable investment since 2011 and climate change since 2014. She advises super funds and other institutional investors, including Mercer's regional investment management teams. Jillian co-authored Mercer’s 2015 Investing in a Time of Climate Change report, ‘The Sequel’ in 2019, and the 2020 climate transition advice framework and Analytics for Climate Transition (ACT) tool, which is supporting investors in setting net-zero targets and implementation plans.

Jillian holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the University of New South Wales; a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education, both from the University of Newcastle; and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

 


Jason Steed, Managing Director, Head of Equity Research and Head of Australian Equity Strategy, Australia, J.P. Morgan

Jason Steed is J.P. Morgan's Head of Equity Research for Australia. In addition, he leads the firms Australian Equity Strategy team. Jason joined J.P. Morgan in 2008 to lead coverage of the Australian Utilities sector. In 2009, he added coverage of Building Materials and Steel. Over 2010-15, Jason was consistently ranked in the top-3 by Peter Lee and other surveys for Utilities and Building Materials. In 2013, he was ranked Australia's #1 sell-side analyst across all sectors in the East Coles Survey.

Ed John, Executive Manager, Governance, Engagement and Policy, ACSI

Ed has over 10 years’ experience advising ACSI members on responsible investment issues. Ed is responsible for ACSI’s engagement with ASX-listed boards, policy formation and proxy voting research. With a background in law and financial services, Ed has extensive experience producing research and engaging with the boards of Australia’s largest companies on a range of ESG investment issues.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Laws with honours, Master of Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne and a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning). He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
