Ben Ereira, Investment Specialist, Insight Investment

Ben joined Insight in November 2020 as an Investment Specialist in the Sydney office focusing on the support of our currency, multi asset and fixed income clients. Before Insight, Ben was founder and director of Cerca FX Consulting, working with institutional investors on their currency programmes and operational efficiency. Prior to this, Ben spent 15 years at Principal Global Investors as Head of Passive Currency and Chief Dealer. Ben was also Manager, Treasury Sales for Japanese Bank, SMBC in Australia, and earlier on in his career, Dealer, Money Market and FX Sales at Korea Exchange Bank, based in London. Ben holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and Diploma of Finance (Treasury) from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Robert Mead, Head of Australia, Co-Head of Asia Pacific Portfolio Management, PIMCO

Mr. Mead is a managing director in the Sydney office, head of Australia, and co-head of Asia-Pacific portfolio management. Previously, he was a portfolio manager in Munich and head of the European investment grade corporate bond team. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2003, he was global head of investment grade credit research and head of non-U.S. high grade fund management at Citigroup Asset Management in London. He has 31 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree from University of Technology, Sydney and a graduate diploma in Applied Finance from Securities Institute of Australia.


Gerard Noonan, Director, Media Super

Gerard has over 40 years’ experience in the media industry at the Sydney Morning Herald and the Australian Financial Review.  He was AFR editor for five years. He is a winner of a Walkley Award in journalism.  He was formerly the Chair of Media Super, a member of AIST’s Policy and Governance Committee and is an Independent Director of The New Daily. Previously Gerard held the roles of the President of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) and AIST and he was a member of the Board of the Federal Government’s advisory group, Innovation Australia, chairing its Venture Capital Committee.
