Choice Heatmap, Budget webinar, annual report deadline, and more
Official new data about superannuation performance has underscored the need for all Choice accumulation products to be covered by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority’s (APRA) Heatmap, according to the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST).
APRA is providing a one-off extension to the reporting due date for the March 2023 quarterly returns originally due to submitted by COB Friday, 28 April 2023.

AIST supports the proposed policy to reduce the superannuation tax concessions available to individuals that have total superannuation balances that exceed $3 million. Given the very limited application of the measure to members of profit-to-member funds, AIST supports an approach that minimises administration costs to funds and their members.
