RG146 Foundations of Super

AIST’s new offering is ideal for both industry newcomers who need a thorough introduction to superannuation and those who want a broad overview of the industry, including new trustee directors.

The RG146 Foundations of Super course was developed by AIST to suit those, including staff in client-facing roles, who need to be RG146 compliant but who don’t intend to undertake the AIST Diploma of Superannuation, and will not be giving personal advice.

The course meets all the generic and specialist knowledge requirements specified by ASIC in Regulatory Guide (RG)146. It explores the history, rules and regulations of superannuation and how it fits into Australia’s economic landscape. 

Over coming months RG146 Foundations will be delivered through a virtual classroom.

Participants will be given access to the course materials one week ahead of the class and asked to pre-read the modules.  

The virtual classroom sessions, via zoom video conference, will be delivered as three hour sessions over three consecutive half days to address the nine modules.

Students will be required to complete the single online multiple-choice assessment in their own time.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive 15 CPD and a statement of completion.

The course may also be completed through a self-paced option.
