Super Insurance Symposium

2019 is shaping up to be a year dominated by far-reaching insurance developments that could have significant impacts on your members.

Hot on the heels of the Protecting Your Super measures in July, the super industry is now dealing with Putting Members' Interests First, which removes opt-out insurance for new members under 25 and all those with balances under $6,000.

If the surge of insurance enquiries to call centres back in July is any indication, funds can expect their phones to run hot when these changes are implemented.

Twelve months ago, another change saw AFCA accepting complaints for the first time, and the oversight body will outline what it’s seen and learnt over the year, and what funds need to be aware of.

AIST’s 2019 Insurance in Super symposium will ensure you are across these important legislative developments as well as the many other key challenges facing funds on the insurance front.
