Michael has 40+ years of experience in providing assurance and corporate reporting advisory services, including 27 years as an audit partner. Since 2010, he has been advising clients on better business reporting; and since 2014, specifically advising on integrated reporting and now assuring integrated reports.
This has included advising on developing a corporate reporting strategy, and developing integrated reporting management systems.
As a Director of the International Integrated Reporting Council, Michael is at the forefront of global integrated reporting and assurance developments, and brings this knowledge to clients.
He has been KPMG Fellow in Integrated Reporting at Deakin University since 2016, researching and teaching integrated reporting; and since 2019, bringing that academic thought to the business community through the Deakin University Integrated Reporting Centre, one of the world’s first such centres.
