This will be replaced in coming months with FNS50720 Diploma of Superannuation – a new, refreshed and even more relevant course of study which will suit the current skill needs of the superannuation industry.
As per the Australian Skills Quality Authority regulations, those enrolled in FNS50715 must complete this qualification within one year from the date of it being superseded, in this instance by 31 August 2021.
AIST is committed to delivering current and relevant professional development activities to our members, so please read on to see what this means for you and the options for your continued study with us.
If you are currently enrolled in the existing version of this course (FN50715 Diploma of Superannuation) and would like to complete it and receive the nationally-recognised AQF Certification, you will need to complete all pending assessment work prior to 31st August 2021 or the course due date, whichever comes first.
If you are currently enrolled in FN50715 Diploma of Superannuation but have not submitted any assessment tasks and would like to wait for the new version of this course to recommence your study, you can transition to the new version at no additional cost.
If you have completed one or two FNS50715 modules, such as RG146, Insurance or the Investment course, and would like to complete the remaining module/s as part of the new and updated course, you may enroll in FNS50720.
However, please be aware that to meet the updated requirements of the FNS50720 Diploma of Superannuation, you may be required to:
Prospective learners – please register your interest in the updated course (below) and we will be in contact when it launches.
RCC applies if a learner has successfully completed the requirements for a unit of competency or module previously and is now required to be reassessed to ensure that the competence is being maintained. RCC is an assessment-only activity. (AVETMISS Data element definitions: edition 2.3, 21 November 2016). There is no additional fees applicable for our members to apply for RCC. Please note that the RCC assessment will address only the updated requirements of the relevant unit of competency.
Learners can apply for an RCC for a maximum of 7 units of competency, as only 7 units have been updated in the new Diploma of Superannuation (FNS50720).
The remaining 5 units of competency in the revised course FNS50720 are completely new, so learners will have to be enrolled for the training and assessment for these from the start. Course fees will apply for this.
Please contact our PD team at training@aist.asn.au if you have any questions.
If you would like to enrol for the new Diploma of Superannuation (FNS50720), please register your interest here and we’ll contact you once the course is launched.
