Neisha Traill

Neisha is a member representative Director of Brighter Super, and brings to the AIST Board a different perspective as a young, Queensland based trustee.

She believes that having regional representation on the board is critical to ensuring that the support AIST makes available for members is relevant, appropriate and accessible for everyone.

Neisha first became involved in the superannuation sector in 2014 as a member representative on the Australian Super Queensland Advisory Board, and later joined the Energy Super Board. 

Currently Chair of the Insurance and Claims Committee and member of the Investment Committee, Neisha was previously a member of the Member Services and Marketing Committee.

Neisha possesses knowledge and skills in industrial relations, member services, advocacy and stakeholder engagement having worked for the Electrical Trades Union for over 15 years and gained further governance experience on the Committee of Management of not-for-profit organisations Basic Rights Queensland (November 2016 – November 2020) and the Tree of Knowledge Development Committee Inc. (January 2021 – April 2022).

Neisha is passionate about ensuring all Australians can achieve both financial wellbeing and dignity in retirement, consistent with AIST’s purpose, and looks forward to making a positive contribution to the board.
