Membership Benefits
AIST offers funds and individuals two types of membership:
Registered Fund Membership and Individual
Membership
Membership registration forms:
Criteria for membership is as follows:
Registered Fund Membership can be taken out by
a superannuation fund in the not-for-profit superannuation sector.
These funds pay a registration fee (based on the number of members
they join) and per person fee.
Individual Membership can be taken out by a
current or former trustee director or fund employee in the
not-for-profit superannuation sector. These individuals pay a per
person fee.
AIST registered funds and members benefit collectively from the
industry representation AIST provides and from the range of
professional services offered, which have been developed in
consultation with members in order to address the needs of the
not-for-profit superannuation sector and individuals involved with
them.
The sole purpose of AIST is to champion the development of funds
and individuals working in the not-for-profit superannuation sector
to advance the retirement income stream for the members they
serve.
As Australia's leading professional body for the not-for-profit
superannuation sector, funds and members will be recognised for
their commitment to their own development and that of the
industry.

The annual fee for members who join AIST
as individuals is $700 + GST.
