Webinar: Superannuation after the Financial Services Royal Commission

Webinar: Superannuation after the Financial Services Royal Commission

After 59 days of hearings, 350+ hours of evidence, many stories of business practices falling well below community standards and countless amounts of news coverage in 2018, the FSRC’s final report was released in early February 2019, with huge implications for financial services governance in Australia.

Join us in our first webinar for the year to reflect on Commissioner Hayne’s recommendations to the government and how they might impact the super system.

This session will provide members with:

  • information regarding "where to from here" for the recommendations and a sense of the timeline for any proposed legislative changes
  • guidance about what conversations you should be having internally to address the key recommendations
  • evidence arising from current research of member behaviours post FSRC hearings and what this means for all funds
  • advice about what should be a part of your board's agenda for the next 6 months

Facilitators:

  • Speaker: Scott Charaneka, Head of Superannuation and Wealth Management, Thomson Geer
  • Host: Ailsa Goodwin, Head of Advocacy, AIST
