RG146 REFRESHER

This course helps you to maintain your status as RG146 compliant.

The RG 146 Refresher is a half-day facilitated training course that is designed for people who are already RG 146 compliant. The superannuation industry is constantly changing with the introduction of new legislation and regulatory requirements. This course provides an update of the changes that have occurred in the industry recently, an overview of some of the upcoming changes, and an opportunity to revisit some of the other RG 146 topics.

TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:

The content of each workshop will vary, however topics may include:

• Recent legislative changes to superannuation
• Update on the economic environment that we operate in
• Superannuation and the tax system
• Financial advice regulation and disclosure obligations
• Increasing trustee governance obligations
• Investment update

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

It is expected that participants have already completed the RG 146 for the Superannuation Industry course (or its equivalent), and are compliant with ASIC's Regulatory Guide 146 (formerly Policy Statement 146).

TRAINING METHODS

Facilitated Training
Face-to-face facilitation is delivered over a 3 hour workshop, made up of group discussions, practical exercises and examples. Facilitated training provides a structured learning environment and provides a platform for networking and forming relationships with people within the industry.

ASSESSMENT

A short quiz at the end of the session will assess your understanding of the material.

VENUE

Venues will be in the CBD and will be communicated in your venue confirmation email. If you do not receive your confirmation email one-week prior to your scheduled training session, please contact AIST to ensure that we have received your registration information.

AIST CPD HOURS

3 hours Participants may also be eligible for 3 Accreditation Status Points as well as 3 Loyalty Reward Points. Further information on the AIST Accreditation and Loyalty Reward Programs may be found on the AIST Website
