Assessing TPD & Death Benefits Claims
Did you know that complaints made to the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal (SCT) regarding Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) claims are at an all time low? This is a reflection of increasing skill levels in the area of claims assessment, and funds are benefiting from the cost reductions. Is your fund benefiting from this decrease in complaints? If not, have you considered AIST's Assessing TPD and Death Benefit Claims course? Conversely, death benefit claims are increasing in complexity and in level of complaints to the SCT and this is a source of increasing dissatisfaction for fund members. This course gives participants the skills and knowledge to process and handle the assessment of TPD and death benefit claims. It also provides an overview of the SCT's role in reviewing member complaints. The course is designed to be participatory and challenging, and involves the review of actual TPD and death benefit case studies.
This session is designed for Trustees of Superannuation Funds, Complaints Officers and Administrators; particularly those on the Claims Review Committee.
