Member Services Officer

An opportunity exists for an experienced person in customer service/database management to join our Melbourne CBD office reporting to the Head of Corporate Services to provide exceptional support to the AIST team.

Working for a friendly team, you will be responsible for:

  • Management of the data in the member database.
  • Front facing customer service on member enquiries.
  • Full management of the member engagement lifecycle and correctly registering on the database including processing member application forms, contacting and tracking all member and non-member organisations to obtain, confirm and update organisational and individual contact details, managing change of membership details in the member database, extracting reports and member profile information from the database as required and performing regular data entry.
  • Management of AIST's general mailbox.
  • Providing reception relief.

What You Need to Have

As a focal member of the business and team, you will be self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as liaise with all team members across the business.

To be successful in this busy role, it is essential you have:

  • 2+ years in a customer service and administration role
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent grammar and spelling and possess excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in using membership software or have database management experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previously worked with high volumes of data preferably within an office administrative environment
  • Proven ability to generate reports and analyse data

It would be desirable if you had:

  • Experience using iMIS
  • Previous employment within a member/not for profit organisation
